Alright, I've got a fairly new builder (she's learning fast though) who encountered something that I don't know about (perhaps it's my lack of building knowledge as I havn't been a builder in quite a while now). She wants to make a door that has the name "guilded door".
From what I can tell though when she uses
Quote:
south name 'guilded door'
it shows those as the keywords. But when down to it the mud accepts either of those as "acceptable input" for the door and opens the door. Main problem here is truely not that (though it would be nice to have a form of that but now I"m just rambling) Main problem is that when she opens the door it just says
Quote:
Jaylin opens the guilded
instead of
Quote:
Jaylin opens the guilded door
. Is there any way to do this so that it accepts the input from the name commmand as a phrase? i.e. allow oyu to use more then one word in the door's name?[/quote]

Did you try double quotes instead of single quotes?
Code:
south name "guilded door"

instead of
Code:
south name 'guilded door'

Hi -

For as long as I can remember, exits always supported only one name (ie. door, trap, bush, etc.). If you want to expand the code, it would require adding code to exit names which would be in redit.cpp if I can remember.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was figuring. Guess I'll just have to tinker with redit and see what I come up with.

That's really odd! Eh well.. mods can delete as they see fit. Wasn't intentional at all. I've had some browser issues lately and I"m guessing that might have caused this since the last two are nearly a half a day later.
