Hi Smile

While the commands are in place, there doesn't seem to be any codes setup for extended (html or mxp) colours?

Cheers

There are. You must set colour mode to html, and have mxp enabled.

Additionally, it is recommended that you are running MUSHclient 3.45+ or zMUD 7+. I personally recommend MUSHclient - it is less buggy w/ the mxp tags.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I turned on mxp (mxp on), even though the mud detects I am using the latest version of MushClient and sets it. I also tried both colour mode html and colour mode mxp with no luck.

I tried using the html colour codes per the help 'colour table' on the MF mud running (I couldn't find one on the beta2).

Guess I'm just doing something wrong, and will go on testing for other things.

Cheers

Hi -

There is no colour mode mxp. To make the extended colours available, you set your mxp to autosense or on, and set your colour mode to html. On another note, the extended colour table is not available in the 1.69r release - that is something you have to code in yourself in colour.cpp just as I did for DS.

If there are no help files relating to the extended colour table in 1.69s-beta2, it may signify there is no intention to publically release the extended colour table code - which would solely be at the discretion of the codebase developer. I.M.H.O - the only reason why the extended colour code wouldn't be released would simply be due to the level of html colours available to put in, and it would create a conflict of creative interests (ie. whatever you see on MF or DS may be different to what you may want on your mud).

The initial point I made was that the codes weren't there, didn't realise there was a need to add them in colour.cpp, but that answers my query.

There is a colour mode mxp.

The extra colours work in both mxp and html modes... the reason they didn't work in beta3 and earlier was because they weren't released with beta3.

They are however, included as part of beta 4.
