ok, having trouble with being 101, it will not let me keep the 101 level, keeps telling me my pfile has been loaded from a directory that limits my level to that of a MORTAL. My pfile is in the immortal directory, has the 101 level been removed or something?

I think Sarolite had this problem too, but the next time we logged in, it worked.... No idea why... Something with the pfile not being in the right directory if i remember.

Yes, level 101 was removed by default. There is a setting you can edit in dawn.h I believe to re-enable it. Now the default top level is 100.

I found it. In params.h #define FOUNDER_LEVEL_ENABLED is commented out, just remove the comments and edit your pfile, and it's all set.

it will actually look like

//#define FOUNDER_LEVEL_ENABLED

you need to remove the //

remake and reboot, in the mean time logout, goto your pfile change 100 to 101 save and log back in

Hey, sorry for the trhread necromancy, but I have a couple questions regarding this topic. First of all, what does enabling the founder level acctualy do? Is there anything that the founder can do that level 100 imms can't, or is it, as I susspect, just an extra distinction for the wizlist? Also, when I uncommented the "#define FOUNDER_LEVEL_ENABLED" line from params.h, changed my pfile, and recompiled, I was given a message on login that max level was still 100 and my level had been changed from 101, back to 100. I susspect this bit of code right bellow #define FOUNDER_LEVEL_ENABLED might be keeping max level at 100, despite founder level being enabled:

Code:

#define MAX_LEVEL              (100)

#define FOUNDER_LEVEL_ENABLED

#define IMPLEMENTOR         MAX_LEVEL
#define ADMIN               (MAX_LEVEL - 2) // admin group for notes and stuff
#define COUNCIL                         (MAX_LEVEL - 4)
#define CREATOR             (MAX_LEVEL - 1)
#define SUPREME             (MAX_LEVEL - 2)
#define DEITY               (MAX_LEVEL - 3)
#define GUARDIAN                        (MAX_LEVEL - 4)
#define IMMORTAL            (MAX_LEVEL - 5)
#define DEMI                (MAX_LEVEL - 6)
#define ANGEL               (MAX_LEVEL - 7)
#define AVATAR              (MAX_LEVEL - 8)
#define LEVEL_IMMORTAL          (MAX_LEVEL - 8)
#define LEVEL_HERO                      (MAX_LEVEL - 9)
#define HERO                LEVEL_HERO

#ifdef FOUNDER_LEVEL_ENABLED
#define ABSOLUTE_MAX_LEVEL (MAX_LEVEL + 1)
#else
#define ABSOLUTE_MAX_LEVEL (MAX_LEVEL)
#endif

So, this bit at the end should set absolute_max_level equal to max_level + 1, which is of course 101. Why am I still stuck at 100?

Did you do a "make clean" prior to the recompile?
